Place call in the roof of your mouth and press tongue against call and say the word “Whooooo” and blowing a consistent breath of air, you will produce a non-threatening howl.

Coyote Challenge Howl (Semi-Agressive)

Difficulty Level: (Intermediate)

By saying the words “Hut, Hut, Hut, Whooooo, with high air pressure, you will create a female/young male challenge howl. Remember to keep the howl short and aggressive sounding.

Coyote Challenge Howl (Agressive)

Difficulty Level: (Advanced)

By saying the word “Rough, Rough,” and gurgling your throat simultaneously, you will create barks. By gurgling your throat on the “WH” of the word “Whooooooo,” you will produce an aggressive sounding howl. Remember to keep the howl short and aggressive.

Adult Kiyi

Difficulty Level: (Novice)

By saying the word “Hee,” in a 1 to 2 seconds burst of air, you will produce the adult Kiyi sound. Example: “HEE, HEEEE, HEE”

Coyote Barks

Difficulty Level: (Novice)

Use short burst of air saying the word “Hut,” you will produce a higher pitched bark

Use short burst of air saying the word “Rough,” you will produce a deeper sounding bark.

Use short burst of air saying the word “Rough,” while gurgling your throat, you will produce a more course sounding bark.

Coyote Pup Distress

Difficulty Level: (Novice)

By saying the word “Hssssss,” in 1 to 2 second bursts of air, you will create the pup distress sound. Example: “Hssss,Hssss,Hss”

Coyote Pup Whines

Difficulty Level: (Intermediate)

By saying the word “Ssssss,” in 1 to 3 second bursts of air, you will produce the whines of a young coyote. Example: “Sss, Ssssss, Ssssssss”

Grey Fox Distress

Difficulty Level: (Advanced)

By saying the words “Ralph or Chow,” in 1 to 2 second bursts of air, you will create the cries of a grey fox. Example: “Ralph, Ralph” or “Chow, Chow”

  Difficulty Level: (Intermediate)

  By saying the word “Waaa,” in 1 to 2 second bursts of air, you will create the lower pitched rabbit distress. Example: “Waaaa, Waaaaa, Waaa.”

   

  Baby Cottontail Distress

  Difficulty Level: (Novice)

  By applying more pressure to call than high pitch cottontail distress and saying the word “Ree,” in short 1 second bursts of air, you will produce the baby cottontail sound. Example: “Ree, Reee, Ree”
